The ticket office window has been designed in conjunction with a specialist fit out company to provide a range of bullet resistant glazed products for the railway and cash transfer industry. Following extensive testing, a system was developed whereby the glazed window and the counter beneath, integrate together to provide a functional and aesthetically pleasing arrangement.
The windows are manufactured to suit site conditions and can incorporate DDA access and cash/document transfer trays. Depending on the threat, windows can be designed to resist both physical and ballistic attack.
The system has been designed to ensure that the client does not have to compromise their architectural creativeness, in the pursuit of protecting life and assets.

Product Advantages
The glazing system allows clients to integrate large individual panes into the building façade in an almost seamless manner, incorporating transfer trays and counters integrated into the complete design parameters.
The glazing system can be adapted to suit clients’ architectural requirements and design constraints, including bespoke corporate colours and detailing.
The system is designed to be used for both primary and internal glazing depending on the site conditions and can be over clad with timber to accommodate architectural detailing.
Product Construction
The profiles are extruded from steel and incorporate multiple chambers for insert sections and cabling.
Mullions and transoms are welded or jointed using specially designed jointing spigots.
The 30mm deep glazing rebate can accommodate glass up to 76mm thick and is tape glazed for added security.
All brackets for this system are a bespoke design dependant on the existing building fabric and architectural requirements.
The suite of profiles include flat and indented cover caps, dependant on the clients’ requirements.
Materials
Aluminium profiles are extruded from aluminium alloy 6060T6, complying with the recommendations of BS EN 12020-2/BS EN 755-Parts 1 to 9
Steel sections are grade S275 / 355
The range of sections can be provided in the following finish:
Powder organic coated to BS 6496 or BS EN 12206-1.
